Thanks to a partnership between The City of Tulsa and the citizens of Tulsa, Oklahoma now has it’s first official off leash dog park!

Tulsa’s first bark park, Joe Station Bark Park - is set to have it’s Grand Opening on Saturday August 9th, 2008, but it is currently open if you’d like to visit.

Tulsa’s first bark park is a converted baseball field that makes very good use of the original site’s facilities. Here is an aerial view of the park’s facilities:

The dog park features water pails that can be filled by using the water faucet near the restroom area. There are 2 dog areas - one for large dogs and one for small dogs. There is ample parking and the park is also lit at night thanks to the re-use of the original ball parks lighting.

The Tulsa Bark Park Task Force is working on getting waste disposal bags set up by the August 9th grand opening. The Task Force does ask that dog owners bring extra waste bags until the park is fully stocked.
